What is in Bio-Luteolin™?
This product provides 100 mg of our Bio-Luteolin Proprietary Blend, containing 20 mg of luteolin from Japanese sophora extract and 25 mg of galactomannans from fenugreek seed.
How does Bio-Luteolin™ work?
As we age, we experience lower rates of autophagy, a “housekeeping” process that cells use to remove old parts. Luteolin has been shown to support components of autophagy, like AMPK and mTOR, to activate this process and allow for healthy cell clean-up and function. Our Bio-Luteolin™ provides a version of luteolin that is up to 14x more bioavailable than regular luteolin.
What makes this formula more bioavailable?
Compounds like luteolin can be metabolized in the gut before the body has a chance to use them, limiting their effectiveness. That’s why our Bio-Luteolin™ contains galactomannans. This fiber from fenugreek seed surrounds luteolin to protect it from being metabolized and eliminated too quickly. This enhances bioavailability, achieving levels up to 14-fold higher than usual, meaning that the 20 mg of luteolin in this formula equates to up to 280 mg of unformulated luteolin.
