2026
- Life Extension's Education team launched the new YouTube show, Real Wellness. Real Wellness brings you today's most relevant health and wellness topics; the latest science and Protocol updates; as well as fun, informative segments like Nutrient Spotlight, Health Watch, Smart Bites and more! Watch and subscribe on Life Extension's Wellness YouTube channel.
- Life Extension published a new Breast Cancer Treatment Protocol, making freely available to the public a comprehensive resource on current and emerging treatment options, including the latest advances in precision medicine. This evidence-based guide also provides a thorough review of integrative considerations, such as targeted nutritional interventions, dietary changes, and lifestyle strategies to support patients throughout their treatment journey.
- Life Extension earned multiple accolades at the 2026 Delicious Living Magazine Awards, including: silver in Consumer Favorite in the Bone & Joint category; many bronze awards, including the Digestive Health and Immune Product categories; and a silver and many bronze awards in Retailer Favorites, including the Sports Nutrition and Men & Women's Product categories.
- Life Extension won several awards for the Whole Foods Natural Choice Awards, including first in the Botanicals category and other second and third place recognitions in Nutri-Beauty, Cognitive Health, Bone & Joint, Heart Health, and Weight Management categories.
- Life Extension partnered with Akay Bioactives to study a breakthrough approach for enhancing bioavailability of the flavonoid luteolin, resulting in Life Extension launching an exclusive, enhanced-bioavailability form of luteolin. Unformulated luteolin is poorly absorbed, but the new formulation—a luteolin-galactomannan hydrogel—was shown to provide up to 14x increased bioavailability compared with standard luteolin.
- Life Extension partnered with Minded to develop a novel formula for head discomfort, combining Minded's clinical expertise with Life Extension's top-quality ingredients and manufacturing.
- Life Extension introduced a novel at-home test to comprehensively assess environmental toxin exposure. The Environmental Toxins Panel measures 48 markers to identify a wide array of common environmental chemicals that may accumulate over time and affect energy levels, metabolism, hormonal balance, immune health, and overall well-being. Due to the current pervasiveness of toxic chemicals, this type of testing is particularly relevant in the modern age for individuals looking to optimize health or investigate hidden causes of current health concerns.
- Life Extension's lab testing division partnered with Quest Diagnostics to expand access to innovative, affordable, on-demand lab testing services.
2025
- Life Extension's creatine monohydrate powder was used in a clinical study published in the journal Alzheimer's & Dementia: Translational Research & Clinical Interventions. This study resulted from the support of researcher Matthew Taylor, PhD, RD.
- Life Extension published a new Atherosclerosis and Cardiovascular Disease Protocol, making freely available to the public a comprehensive resource on conventional approaches and integrative considerations for maintaining cardiovascular health.
- Life Extension was a finalist for the 2025 NutraIngredients-Europe Awards: Product of the Year for Sports Nutrition. Life Extension was also selected as a finalist for the 2025 NutraIngredients-USA Award for Product of the Year: Beauty from Within.
- Life Extension published a new Osteoporosis and Bone Health Protocol. This thorough review of the literature provides a compilation of evidence on maintaining bone health, incorporating conventional standard of care as well as integrative interventions and nutritional considerations.
- Life Extension developed a combination of clinically studied probiotic and postbiotics designed to encourage a more "youthful" gut microbiome and support key biomarkers of the aging process.

- Thymosin alpha 1 is an immunologically active peptide. Largely unknown, Life Extension has been describing thymosin alpha 1's potential uses since 1981—and this year, we were proud to report on recent advances in this underappreciated compound.
- Life Extension created an exclusive formula of a clinically studied ginger extract plus magnesium and vitamin B6 to help relieve menstrual cramps and lower back discomfort, fatigue, nausea, and PMS-related mood changes.
- Life Extension introduced a novel inflammatory biomarker blood test panel incorporating Galectin-3 and GlycA (also known as glycosylated acetyls or glycoprotein acetyls) based on growing research identifying these as important drivers and markers of chronic inflammation.
2024
- Life Extension developed a formula providing a plant-sourced diamine oxidase (DAO) enzyme to mitigate histamine-triggered distress. This innovative, vegetarian-friendly solution to the increasingly common problem of digestive distress related to histamine sensitivity offers a plant-based alternative to common, animal-sourced DAO.
- Life Extension helped fund aging research in rodent models published in 2024, finding that young plasma improved physical appearance, youthful behavior, and lifespan; and that Yamanaka transcription factor brain injections improved learning and memory. These and other studies inspired further research, funded by Life Extension and beginning in 2025, evaluating Yamanaka transcription factors in primates.
- Life Extension published one of the integrative health and wellness industry's most comprehensive guides on "sleep hacking"—our new Sleep Hacking Protocol, presenting an evidence-based approach to sleep optimization for generally healthy people.
- Continuing our decades-long tradition of pioneering innovative nutritional support for healthy aging, Life Extension scientists developed a novel formula delivering lithium, spermidine, and taurine together in a powder-based format intended to target several hallmarks of aging.
- Life Extension introduced a formula combining a clinically studied blend of Chinese chaste tree and ginger extracts. This formula supports relief from occasional lower back discomfort and stiffness. An estimated 39% of adults experience occasional back discomfort and stiffness, making this formula a beneficial option for many.
- Life Extension introduced a unique vegan alternative to traditional collagen supplements. This formula features a blend of amino acids in the same ratio as human type I collagen, along with vitamin C, ginseng, and gotu kola extracts, which support skin appearance and encourage the body's natural collagen production.
- Life Extension developed a hormone-free, plant-based formula to promote the body's pathways for healthy estrogen production. Made with a clinically studied fenugreek extract, this formula also provides red clover, chaste tree, and black cohosh extracts to support women's overall quality of life.
- Life Extension won two 2024 NutraIngredients-Europe Awards: Product of the Year for Immune Support; Product of the Year for Sports Nutrition; and was a finalist for Product of the Year: Botanical. Life Extension also won the 2024 NutraIngredients-USA Award for Product of the Year: Omega-3.
- With a focus on the importance of women's sexual health, Life Extension created a clinically studied formula with fenugreek seed and saffron extracts to support healthy libido, arousal, and lubrication.
- Life Extension successfully completed our first randomized-controlled study with remotely located volunteers. In place of requiring visits to our research center, we developed a system enabling volunteers throughout the United States to participate from the comfort of their home.
- Life Extension introduced environmental mold testing, an important tool in identifying sources of fungal contamination and exposure, a growing public health concern.
- Dr. Mike Smith and Dr. Crystal Gossard celebrated 6 years hosting the Live Foreverish Podcast, Sponsored by Life Extension. The show has over 230,000 downloads and has published over 550 episodes.
