Found in red grapes, as well as Japanese knotweed, resveratrol is a plant compound that promotes healthy aging and overall health.

Better resveratrol—no red wine required

You’ve probably heard about research that red wine is good for you. Science has found that the grapes red wine is made from contain resveratrol, a polyphenol that promotes a wide range of health and healthy aging mechanisms. But resveratrol has low bioavailability. We’ve solved this problem by combining trans-resveratrol (from Japanese knotweed) with galactomannan fibers from fenugreek seeds. Doing this protects resveratrol once you’ve ingested it. People take NR with resveratrol to promote healthy aging. Resveratrol is a healthy aging nutrient that promotes cardiovascular and cognitive health. NR helps increase nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) levels.

The ingredients in this formula support multiple healthy aging pathways. Nicotinamide riboside promotes NAD+ production and easily crosses cell membranes. NIAGEN® is a patented form of nicotinamide riboside. Resveratrol encourages cardiovascular health, cognitive health, and a variety of other biomarkers for whole-body health—all of which are critical for healthy aging.

Because NAD+ levels have been shown to decline with age, especially in individuals over 50 years of age, aging adults may benefit particularly from NR supplementation. However, since NAD+ levels decline with age, this supplement may benefit adults 18+ and older.

Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding and people who have or are undergoing treatment for a medical condition should not take NR without first discussing it with their physician. This product is only intended for adults aged 18+.

Fenugreek seed fibers have been added to enhance the bioavailability of trans-resveratrol, quercetin, and fisetin phytonutrients. Nicotinamide riboside passes easily through cell membranes, so it is efficiently converted to NAD+ when taken orally. This helps raise blood NAD+ levels to support healthy cellular energy and healthy aging.

NMN is a direct structural precursor to NAD+, which the body uses to create cellular energy. NR has to be converted into NMN once inside the cell, but unlike NMN, NR can easily pass through the cell membrane. Both NMN and NR have been shown to increase blood levels of NAD+ in clinical studies.

In a randomized controlled trial published in 2019, adults taking 300 mg of nicotinamide riboside had a 51% increase in blood levels of NAD+ after 2 weeks. But everyone is different and results may vary. Note: for best results, take the product exactly as directed on the label instructions.

NIAGEN® is a patented, clinically studied form of nicotinamide riboside, a compound that helps increase levels of the NAD+ coenzyme. This is important because the NAD+ coenzyme is necessary for creating adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the compound your body uses to create cellular energy.^2,4

NAD+ plays a critical role in metabolism and the production of cellular energy, but NAD+ levels have been shown to decline with age.^1,2,5 In a randomized controlled trial published in 2019, adults taking 300 mg of nicotinamide riboside (as NIAGEN®) had a 51% increase in blood levels of NAD+ after 2 weeks.⁶

Trans-resveratrol

Resveratrol is a well-known healthy aging nutrient. Our Resveratrol Elite™ formulas contain trans-resveratrol, the form associated with beneficial biological effects.⁷ Resveratrol also promotes healthy insulin sensitivity, supports a healthy inflammatory response and has been shown to promote healthy endothelial function for a healthy cardiovascular system.^7-10

A more bioavailable resveratrol

We’ve combined resveratrol with galactomannan fibers from fenugreek seeds. This makes our Resveratrol Elite™ formulas up to 10 times more bioavailable.¹¹ This means that the trans-resveratrol in this product reaches higher levels in your bloodstream and circulates longer than traditional, unformulated resveratrol.

Resveratrol and heart health

One way that resveratrol can promote heart health is by helping to shield your cells from oxidative stress.¹² Resveratrol also promotes endothelial health and function—an essential component of living a long, healthy life.¹⁰

Resveratrol and brain health

At the same time, resveratrol has shown an ability to help the brain and cognition: in a randomized controlled trial, it encouraged healthy neurological function as well as brain blood flow. These are additional ways in which resveratrol can bolster even more essential aspects of healthy aging.¹³

Augmenting resveratrol with quercetin

Our formula also delivers quercetin, a phytonutrient that complements resveratrol. In a randomized clinical study, researchers compared the formulated Bio-Quercetin to unformulated quercetin. They found that the quercetin formulated with fenugreek fibers led to serum levels of total quercetin up to 62 times higher than unformulated quercetin, and 18 times higher levels of free (unconjugated) quercetin.¹⁴

Quercetin promotes both cardiovascular and endothelial health and helps maintain healthy blood pressure already within the normal range.^15,16 Quercetin is also a potent inhibitor of oxidative stress and helps promote a healthy inflammatory response.^17,18

Quercetin promotes a healthy immune response in the face of seasonal immune challenges. In a randomized clinical trial, quercetin encouraged a healthy immune response in physically fit older adults.¹⁹

Bio-fisetin

By combining fisetin with fenugreek fibers, we’re able to create a fisetin formula that is up to 25 times more bioavailable.²⁰
